Ms. Cheng Yiman, General Manager of Hebei Yuqilin Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd., recently visited Togo, where she had in-depth exchanges with the Ministry of Trade of the Togolese Government and the organizing committee of the International Expo. The company plans to showcase its agricultural machinery and equipment at the Togo International Expo to expand into the African market.
Findings from market visits and research are as follows:
1. Strong demand for agricultural mechanization
Togo’s economy is dominated by small-scale farming, but the popularization rate of agricultural machinery is low, leaving huge market potential for equipment such as small tractors, micro-tillers, and harvesters. The government encourages agricultural modernization and offers tax incentives for agricultural machinery imports, making it suitable for Chinese small and medium-sized agricultural machinery enterprises to enter the market.

2. Logistics advantages of the Port of Lomé
As a major entrepôt trade center in West Africa, Togo sees its Port of Lomé handling 20% of the entrepôt trade for neighboring countries, facilitating the distribution of agricultural machinery and equipment to landlocked countries such as Burkina Faso and Niger.
3. High promotional value of the expo
The Togo International Expo (Togo 2000), the largest trade fair in Togo, attracts buyers from across Africa and internationally, making it an ideal platform for promoting agricultural machinery products.

Ms. Cheng Yiman's inspection has laid a foundation for Yuqilin Agricultural Machinery to enter the West African market, and it also serves as a model for female entrepreneurs venturing into Africa. She stated that participating in the Togo International Expo will help increase brand exposure and expand business operations.
